We are looking for a VP, Account Director/ New Business Development for our exponentially growing Healthcare practice. Our ideal fit is someone who can develop a vision for S50’s unique role in the Healthcare agency world and help build it. This talented, collaborative leader will be driven by a passion to shape an agency, activate their own client network and get to test out new ideas around the future of healthcare digital marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Drive agency growth – proven track record acquiring new clients and building existing
  • Bring Healthcare thought-leadership to their teams and the agency
  • Serve as a strategic leader for both clients and internal teams
  • Proactively manages relationship with clients and seeks opportunities to build new relationships as needed
  • Take ownership and accountability for the Healthcare practice book of business
  • Lead annual brand planning for our clients and sell-in plans to grow revenue year-over-year
  • Assumes responsibility for the writing and preparation of marketing communications plans and proposals  
  • Work with our VP of Operations to develop budgets to include accurate estimating and tracking of hours, out-of-pocket expenses, and reconciliation against estimates. Raises client awareness as to when changes in client direction affect estimates.
  • Provide on-going tactical and executional oversight and take responsibility for flawless execution
  • Solutions and detail-oriented; decisive and ability to prioritize work/projects/tasks on-the-fly
  • Stay on top of where the healthcare industry is going and embrace new ways for doing things
  • Speak as our thought-leader at conferences, podcasts, and press opportunities
  • Grow and mentor our talent: provide clear direction and feedback to our team, grow more leaders in the space, and listen
  • Initiate and collaborate on creative brief development
  • Work collaboratively with agency partners to iterate on the agency offering, keep them informed of health of the businesses and client relationships, involving them in critical meetings as needed

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with a deep expertise in health and/or pharma marketing communications and regulations of the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry in the US
  • Proven sales / new business development track-record a must
  • Digital marketing and strategy development, ideally in a client facing role within an agency
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a strategic advisor to clients
  • A passion for technology, emerging media, eCRM and all things digital
  • Proactive and action-oriented; independent, driven, and a good multitasker
  • Willingness to work as a part of small, nimble, fast-paced team, openness to collaboration and will get your hands dirty
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A plus if you have previously helped build a Healthcare practice
