One of Ad Age’s “Best Places to Work” for the last 3 years is searching for a creative lead that eats, breathes and sleeps beautiful, intuitive design. The perfect candidate is digitally and socially native, and fully tapped in to where technology is and where it’s going.

We’re looking for a Creative Director who is seasoned in best practices and principles of web design, and loves designing the work as much as working with a creative team to get it done. Empathy for consumers is key. Some of our clients deal with personal and sensitive topics and this creative lead needs to know how to tap the emotions of our audiences in a respectful and powerful way.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our brilliant team of CX/UX, strategists, copywriter, project managers, technologists on the discovery, design and development phases of key website re-designs
  • Fully understand the business goals, consumer needs and category situation to strategically come to the right creative solutions
  • Be the owner and champion of the creative vision and lead follow-through of execution
  • Bring a point-of-view and experience concepting and designing powerful experiences built off customer journeys
  • Know how to apply color, typography, imagery and language at different points of a site interaction to elicit a consumer action
  • Must be able to work with a more junior writer to create a strong narrative; guiding them, giving feedback and proposing suggestions through the process
  • We all know website projects can get long, so you must have endurance and maintain enthusiasm to see the project through
  • Push the envelope. Concept and execute of digital and social campaigns including paid digital display and social, organic social and eCRM that surround the web experience
  • Work with an Art Director to ideate campaign ideas and understand how they will and should be executed
  • Clear communication with teammates about status of project delivery, and what is needed to complete tasks
  • Can operate with ease and calm under a variety of deadline structures; we have some fire drills and sometimes we have an abundance of time
  • Present and sell work in a clear and compelling way to clients and internal teams
  • Be able to discuss creative rationale with clients, be confident and collaborative

Requirements:

  • 10-15 – yrs experience spanning creative direction, design of websites, digital and social channels
  • A design background is a MUST for this role, the job is hands on designing
  • Experience designing websites, mobile apps, and interfaces
  • Deep knowledge and interest in digital media, social media & technology
  • Awards, lots of great awards, but not the overbearing ego that sometimes goes with them
  • You are curious, thoughtful and OK if all the answers are not spelled out
  • You’ve worked at large agencies and small ones and freelanced before, so you know how to work in great structure and how to be flexible
  • You’ve stayed current on the latest web and technology trends and best practices in the industry and you know how to apply them
  • You have worked with CX/UX teams before and extract the consumer insights you need to design with empathy
  • Proven track record of effectively and efficiently managing your own workload
  • Incredibly strong work ethic, we don’t let each other down
  • Excellent public speaking and pitching skills
  • Proficiency in Figma or Sketch
  • Passion, positivity, curiosity, self-motivation, perseverance
  • The ability to thrive in an incredibly fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and creatively demanding environment and will have to balance many projects at once with tight deadlines and schedules. So, your problem-solving skills are on-point
